Save Time On Election Day: Tips From Minneapolis City Officials
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- With a little more than one week left in the tumultuous 2016 election, citizens are starting to figure out their plan to vote.
With past problems of crowding and long lines, Minneapolis city officials are urging voters to consider casting their ballots early, in-person or by mail.
There are four locations across the city to vote in person:
- Downtown: 217 S. Third St.
- North: 2100 Plymouth Ave. N., in the Minneapolis Urban League building.
- South: 1860 E. 28th St., in the former Roof Depot building.
- Northeast: 2516 Central Ave. NE in the Water Bar building.
Not sure if you're registered? You can double check online. Not registered or registration expired? No worries -- Minnesota allows for same-day registration, directly at your polling place before voting.
If you do want to register at your polling place, make sure you bring one of the required forms of ID.
If you're voting early, you can also download and complete the absentee ballot application in advance to save time.
