Minneapolis Police: Man Dies Two Weeks After Being Stabbed

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say a 45-year-old man who was stabbed in an altercation last month in Minneapolis died early Tuesday morning.

Minneapolis police were called to the 700 block of Spring Street Northeast on the afternoon of Dec. 19 on a report of a stabbing.

Witnesses were able to provide police with information that led to the identification of a suspect.

The victim, Theotis Johnson of Robbinsdale, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died more than two weeks later.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled Johnson's death a homicide.

Police will hold a community forum in the 2nd Precinct to discuss the stabbing, and the concerns of neighborhood residents.
