Minneapolis' Pillsbury Flour Sign To Be Relit Monday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Part of history is going to be turned back on Monday in downtown Minneapolis.

The newly restored "Pillsbury's Best Flour" sign will be illuminated for the first time in five years.

For more than 70 years, this sign was lit up near the Mississippi River. It was taken down last year as part of the restoration to the old mill complex. Last month, cranes reinstalled the letters one-by-one.

The re-lighting is scheduled to happen at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

For some of the best views, head to the Stone Arch or Third Avenue bridges.
