Minneapolis Music Teacher Has Students Singing Her Praises

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- School gymnasiums across Minnesota are filled this time of year with young singers and musicians performing for the holidays.

In one Minneapolis school, the Christmas program doesn't sound and look like most. That's because of the woman behind the music.

Monday night, WCCO Photojournalist Tom Aviles introduces us to Mary Strickland at Annunciation Catholic School. He discovered why generations of students sing her praises.

Mary told us she wants to thank the thousands of students, parents and teachers who have supported her -- especially Liz Kramer. She says without them there would be no program.
