Minneapolis FBI Searching For Armed Bank Robber

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis FBI is looking for a man accused of robbing the Central Bank in Minneapolis.

The incident happened around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at 2120 Hennepin Ave. S.

Authorities say the robber approached the bank counter and demanded money while holding a black pistol.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, he fled the scene on foot.

Police say the robber is described as a 6-foot-tall, 180-pound black man between 30 and 40 years old, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark Nike tennis shoes and carrying a white bag.

Authorities are particularly interested in the robber's bag -- a white tote with an insignia or emblem on the front.

The FBI is offering a reward to anyone with information that could lead to the identification or arrest of the bank robber.
