Minneapolis City Council To Repeal Ban On Hats In Theaters

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's a city ordinance on the books many probably didn't know about. In the city of Minneapolis, you can't wear a hat in theaters.

The Minneapolis City Council is now planning to repeal the ban. They said the hat ban has gone unenforced "in modern times."

The ordinance bars theater patrons from "wearing any headgear or conducting" themselves in a manner "which interferes unreasonably with the view or enjoyment of another person."

The city council is expected to vote on the repeal next month.
