Minn. Woman Shot In Head In South Dakota

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sioux Falls police are investigating a weekend shooting that left a Minnesota woman with life-threatening injuries and her vehicle riddled with bullet holes.

Officers who responded to reports of gunshots shortly after 4:30 a.m. Saturday found a minivan with a female driver who had been shot in the back of the head. Authorities say there were multiple bullet holes inside and outside the vehicle. Multiple 9 mm shell casings were found at the scene, but no weapon has been found.

The 28-year-old woman from Luverne, Minnesota, was in stable condition at a hospital on Monday. Her name was not immediately released. A 48-year-old male passenger in the vehicle wasn't hurt.
