Minn. Supreme Court Removes Judge From Office

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Supreme Court has removed a judge from judicial office, saying he violated a residency requirement and lied about his address.

On Wednesday, the Minnesota Board on Judicial Standards announced the removal of Judge Alan F. Pendleton, who was a judge of the Tenth Judicial District of the State of Minnesota. His chambers were in Anoka.

The Supreme Court then temporarily suspended Pendleton pending a formal decision. Pendleton was officially removed from office Wednesday.
