Midwestern Pet Foods Recall Products With Corn Due To Mold Issues

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A brand of pet food has now killed dozens of pets, and the company that makes it says more of its products could be contaminated.

Midwestern Pet Foods is now recalling all of its products made with corn, including Sportmix and a few others. More than 70 pets have died and more than 80 got sick from eating the food.

The company says a mold that grows on cord produces a toxin, and there's too much of it in the products.
