Metro Transit: Pedestrian Struck By LRT Train Near Hamline Ave. Station

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Metro Transit says a pedestrian has been struck by a light rail train near the Hamline Ave. Station on University Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

According to Metro Transit, Green Line trains are now experiences delays near the incident. However, service is continuing in both directions while the scene is being cleared.

Metro Transit police responded to the incident, which occurred shortly after 3 p.m.

The extent of the victim's injuries is currently unknown.
