Mendota Heights Mayor Mourns Death Of Officer Patrick

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Sandra Krebsbach is sharing in the grief of her community over the violent death of Police Officer Scott Patrick.

She tells WCCO Radio's Roshini Rajkumar that while there is great sorrow, they are also seeing support from all over.

"Yesterday I had a residents tell me they saw an Apple Valley squad car in one neighborhood. [Others] drove to the village and saw a Farmington squad car, the state patrol," Krebsbach said.

She said it makes them feel safe, and that there is space to mourn Officer Patrick now that the apprehension was made and the complaint was filed.

The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at St. Steven's Church in West St Paul.

Two processions will follow; one for the law enforcement community and the next for the family.
