Patrol: Woman, 24, Dies In Mendota Bridge Rollover

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The State Patrol says a 24-year-old St. Paul woman died Tuesday morning in a rollover crash on the Mendota bridge.

The crash happened shortly after 7:20 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 55 in Mendota Heights.

The patrol says Angelica Serrata was driving when she lost control of her Toyota Corolla. The car hit the median wall, bounced off, road up the opposite wall and flipped over.

Serrata died at the scene. It's unknown what caused her to lose control.

A passenger in the car, 24-year-old Hector Reyes-Gomez of St. Paul, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized.

The crash remains under investigation.
