Ft. Snelling Memorial Rifle Squad Passing On Tradition

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Fifteen years ago, WCCO photojournalist Tom Aviles introduced us to the Memorial Rifle Squad, a group of volunteer veterans who perform military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

The cemetery is home to the country's first and largest all-volunteer squad. Aviles stayed in touch with the men, who are now passing the tradition on to the next generation of veterans.
