Medical Examiner: Delbert Huber Died Of Natural Causes
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The man who shot and killed a teacher in 2011 and was later questioned in Jacob Wetterling's disappearance died in prison of natural causes, according to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
WCCO-TV interviewed Huber about Wetterling's disappearance back in June as he sat in a jail, convicted of murdering Tim Larson. A day after that interview, Huber was found dead in the Faribault Correctional Facility. During his interview with Esme Murphy, he repeatedly denied any involvement in Jacob Wetterling's disappearance. Authorities questioned him in recent weeks after receiving numerous tips from the public.
"All these people are telling stories, they're lying," Huber said in the WCCO-TV interview.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner ruled Huber died in prison of natural causes. He died of complications of a perforated gastric ulcer.
