ME: Plymouth Police Shot Man At Arby's In The Head

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials have released the name of the man shot and killed by a Plymouth police officer last week at an Arby's restaurant.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office said 31-year-old Derek Wolfsteller, of Plymouth, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Officer Amy Therkelsen says she shot Wolfsteller when he tried to grab her gun Thursday night at the restaurant, which is located just off of Highway 55.

The shooting remains under investigation, and Therkelsen was placed on standard administrative leave.
