ME: Human Remains Are Missing College Student

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Friday that the human remains found earlier this week in Douglas County belong to a missing Starbuck college student.

Laura Ann Schwendemann, 18, was last seen alive on the night of Oct. 14 at an Alexandria gas station. Her remains were found 12 days later by a farmer in Orange Township.

Authorities are still investigating her death. Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 320-762-8151.
