Convention Center, Capitol Hosting Martin Luther King Day Events

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Monday is Martin Luther King Junior Day.

Thousands will start the holiday in downtown Minneapolis at the annual MLK Day Breakfast at the Minneapolis Convention Center at 7 a.m.

The keynote speaker is author and civil rights activist Myrlie Evers-Williams.

Then at 9 a.m. at the State Capitol, there will be a rally followed by a mile-long march to the Ordway Center for Performing Arts in downtown St. Paul.

There will be a free celebration program there at 10 a.m.
