March's Veteran Of The Month: Bob Grant

Bob Grant was a U.S. Marine from 1966 – 1969. He bravely fought in the Tet Offensive of 1968.

The positives that Bob has taken from having been a U.S. Marine: he learned to adapt, improvise, overcome and gained the confidence in the ability to succeed

Bob has been married to Peggy Grant for 41 years and is the proud father of two kids, and three grandchildren.

Among other things, Bob has proudly volunteered his time as: a Big Brother, a football and hockey coach at Kenny Park in South Minneapolis, was named 1995 Eden Prairie Firefighter of the Year, worked with Gov. Arnie Carlson on the Emergency Response Commission, a Shriner and was Vice Chair for the establishment of the Veteran Memorial in Eden Prairie — where he helped raise $618,000!

Bob would like to be remembered for the footprint he leaves behind; all the good he's done since the war.
