Maplewood Woman Facing 3rd Murder Charge For Drug Overdose

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minnesota woman accused of selling deadly heroin is now facing a third murder charge.

Prosecutors say Beverly Burrell sold heroin to a man at a Perkins in Minneapolis last September.

Max Tillitt, 21, overdosed and died the next day. Tests showed he had meth and heroin in his system. According to court documents, he'd had 63 contacts with Burrell in the three weeks before his death.

She's already been charged in the deaths of two other men. In those cases, she's accused of selling them heroin laced with fentanyl.
