Maple Grove Police: Burglaries On Rise Near Eagle Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Maple Grove police are urging residents who live near Eagle Lake to keep an eye out after three burglaries were reported in the past month.

The first burglary happened on Jan. 16 at a home on the 11800 block of 65th Avenue, the second on Feb. 6 on the 11200 block of Red Fox Drive and the third on the 9600 block of 64th Avenue.

All three burglaries happened between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Police are reminding people to take precautions, such as locking all house and garage doors, removing garage door openers from cars parked in driveways, and putting some house lights on timers.

Residents on those blocks to call Det. Jason Heilman at 763-494-6207 if they noticed any unfamiliar vehicles parked on the street or people walking through yards during those times.

Maple Grove police urge residents to call 911 if they see any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
