Maple Grove Man Charged In More Burglaries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A 20-year-old man believed to be responsible for 14 burglaries and attempted burglaries in the last several months has now been charged with five counts of first-degree burglary in Maple Grove.

Jacob Shultz, of Maple Grove, told police he burglarized one home four to six times in fall 2014.

He also faces several counts of first-degree burglary and attempted first-degree burglary by the Anoka County Attorney's Office.

All of the burglaries occurred at homes with unlocked doors. Police say Shultz even returned to the same homes multiple times over several months because the doors were left unlocked.
