Maple Grove House Destroyed In Fire, No Injuries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Firefighters in Maple Grove are investigating after a house fire early Sunday morning.

It happened around 4 a.m. on the 1600 block of 72nd Place North.

The homeowner told firefighters he heard popping and snapping and saw his deck engulfed in flames when he looked outside.

The family made it out of the home safely.

Some 70 firefighters from the city fire department worked to knock the flames down.

Fire officials say the blaze likely started from a charcoal grill on the deck of the home. Nobody was hurt in the fire, but the home is a total loss.
