18-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Car Flips, Catches Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An 18-year-old man is seriously injured after his car flipped and caught fire in Maple Grove Saturday evening.

Abraham Ingli of Knapp, Wisconsin, was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix at a high rate of speed on Interstate 94 around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. A black vehicle in the center lane cut off a black SUV, which caused the SUV to swerve. When the SUV swerved back, it nearly struck the Pontiac. The Pontiac then swerved as well.

The Pontiac hit some construction barrels and flipped. The Maple Grove Police Department said the car also caught fire. Abraham Ingli and his passenger, 16-year-old Isaac Ingli, were both taken to North Memorial Hospital.
