Man's Body Recovered From Water Near Boom Island

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Hennepin County Sheriff's office says a body was discovered Thursday afternoon near Boom Island in Minneapolis.

Someone reported seeing the body in a channel near the island at about 4 p.m. The county's water patrol were called to the scene and recovered the man's remains.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office is working on identifying the man and determining his cause of death. Investigators say it is too early to say if foul play was involved.
