Man's Body Found In Melrose, No Foul Play Expected

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in central Minnesota say the body of a man in his early 20s was found over the weekend.

Officials in Melrose say a report came in about the body at 8 p.m. Sunday, and police found the man's body near the 700 block of 2nd Street, 30 yards of the Woebegone Trail.

No foul play is suspected, but police say the death is suspicious because it was found outside.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy on the body, and the man's identity will be released pending the notification of his family.

Police say they are trying to verify whether or not the body belonged to a man who went missing last year.
