Man Who Drove Drunk In Sauk Rapids Crash To Be Sentenced Next Month

SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) — A St. Cloud man will be sentenced next month for killing a husband and wife from northern Minnesota in a car crash.

Twenty-three-year-old Tom Souvannaphong earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal vehicular homicide in the August crash that killed Kevin and Kathy Davey, of Hibbing, and injured a backseat passenger in Sauk Rapids.

A criminal complaint says the defendant was driving drunk, speeding and ran a red light when he struck the Davey's vehicle. Sentencing is scheduled April 14.
