Man Sought In Connection To St. Cloud Bomb Threats In Custody

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say the man sought in connection to two separate bomb threat hoaxes in St. Cloud on Saturday has been taken into custody.

The St. Cloud Police Department says 31-year-old Matthew John Hull was arrested Sunday morning in the Princeton area.

He was wanted after a library and a retail store in St. Cloud were evacuated Saturday following bomb threats, which authorities believe were related.

The first threat was phoned to the Great River Regional Library at about 12:30 p.m. The staff evacuated the building, but police and the St. Cloud Fire Department did not find anything suspicious inside.

The second threat was made about 30 minutes later to the Cash Wise on the 1000 block of 4th Street Southeast. Police and firefighters also did not find anything suspicious during a search.

In the evening, police asked the public's help in finding Hull, whom authorities believe is possibly involved in another bomb threat on a St. Cloud Walmart last week.

Details on authorities were led to Hull have yet to be released.
