Man Sentenced For Selling Deadly Drugs In Blue Earth County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A southern Minnesota man has been sentenced to more than nine years in prison for selling synthetic LSD that killed two people in Mankato.

Tyler Caputo, 23, was sentenced Wednesday in Blue Earth County court. He pleaded guilty to drug sales and aiding in the death of 17-year-old Chloe Moses.

Moses died after taking what she thought was synthetic LSD in March 2014. Louis Folson, 22, also died after taking the drug.

I think that Tyler can go and do good when he's done," defense attorney Ryan Pacyga said. "And I don't think that he is an evil human being. What he did requires consequences."

Caputo is expected to serve at least six years of his sentence in prison before he's eligible for supervised release.
