Sheriff: Man ID'd In Lake Minnewashta Drowning

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) --  Authorities in Carver County have identified a man who was found unresponsive in Lake Minnewashta Sunday afternoon.

According to the sheriff's office, crews responded around 2 p.m. after bystanders pulled the victim from the water.

First responders performed CPR on the individual, identified 60-year-old, identified as David Schroeder, before he was taken to Hennepin Healthcare in downtown Minneapolis.

Despite lifesaving efforts, officials say the man was pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation.
