Man Pleads Guilty To Stalking DJ Mary Lucia

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An Eden Prairie man has pleaded guilty to stalking Twin Cities DJ Mary Lucia.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Monday that Patrick Henry Kelly, 56, pleaded guilty to felony stalking and terroristic threats.

In court, Kelly said he took full responsibility for the crimes and understood that by pleading guilty he'd be giving up his right to a trial, officials said.

Kelly admitted to repeatedly leaving letters and flowers at Lucia's home last summer after being served with a restraining order in July of 2014.

He will be sentenced on Oct. 13. For the felony stalking charge, Kelly faces up to 10 years in prison.

After being a victim of stalking, Lucia took a leave of absence from her job as a host at The Current.
