Man Pleads Guilty To Rape Of Woman, 14-Year-Old; Sentenced To 30 Years

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One of the three men accused of beating and raping a woman and her 14-year-old daughter in a home invasion pleaded guilty Friday.

A representative of the Hennepin County court said Roynell Taylor, 31, will be sentenced to 30 years in prison at a hearing next month. Two brothers who were also charged in the incident -- Deondre and Reggie Bishop -- are undergoing a trial.

According to the criminal complaint, Taylor and the two brothers broke into the north Minneapolis home, tied up the mother and daughter and put pillow cases over their heads. The complaint says the men demanded money and threatened to pour hot water on the two victims. Both were sexually assaulted, and the men repeatedly asked the victims "where the money is."

Deondre Bishop agreed to a stipulated facts trial before a judge, the court representative said, and jury selection is underway in the trial of Reggie Bishop.
