Man Pleads Guilty In 2nd Body In Car Case

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A 25-year-old man has been given a life sentence after pleading guilty to killing a second woman in the Twin Cities.

Alberto Palmer pleaded guilty in Hennepin County Monday to first-degree murder in the killing of 24-year-old Klaressa Cook in 2013. Her body was found in a car towed to an impound lot in Minneapolis.

Palmer will be eligible for parole after 30 years, minus credit for time served.

Palmer admitted he met the victim online and arranged to have sex with her. Afterward, he tried to take back his money and repeatedly hit and pushed her head into a wall.

Palmer faces sentencing in Anoka County after pleading guilty to murdering 18-year-old Brittany Clardy, whose body was found in a car in a Columbia Heights impound lot last year.
