Sheriff: Road Construction Worker Fatally Run Over By Reversing Truck

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 50-year-old road construction worker was fatally run over by a reversing semi truck Wednesday night in Ramsey.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Armstrong and Bunker Lake boulevards.

Investigators say that a construction semi was reversing on Bunker Lake when the worker got caught in the rear wheel and was run over. First responders attempted to aid the man, but paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as Robert John Vogelsberg of Faribault.

The sheriff's office says Vogelsberg was employed by a private contractor to repave a portion of Bunker Lake Boulevard.
