Man In Critical Condition After Fight Outside Perkins
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man is in critical condition after a fight broke out at a Perkins restaurant in Hastings, Minn., according to authorities.
Police say officers responded to the Perkins at 1206 Vermillion St. around 3:04 a.m. Friday on a disturbance call. As officers approached the scene, they were told the fight moved outside to the north parking lot.
Authorities found a male victim on the ground and unresponsive. Paramedics provided first aid and the victim was immediately transported to United Hospital in St. Paul.
He remains in critical condition.
Police say a suspect was identified at the scene and arrested. He has been identified as 27-year-old James Nathan Phenix, of West Plains, MO.
He was booked into the Dakota County Jail for possible assault charges.
The case will be presented to the Dakota County Attorney's Office for further review.
