Man Dies In Early Morning Shooting In Downtown Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are searching for a suspect following a fatal early morning shooting Friday in downtown Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Police Department says officers found a man just after midnight with a gunshot wound near a parking lot on the corner of First Avenue and Third Street North.

Emergency crews brought the man to Hennepin Healthcare for treatment for life-threatening injuries. As of 11 a.m., Minneapolis Police reported the victim had died.

So far, no arrests have been made, and the victim's identity has not yet been released.
