Man Found Not Guilty Of Manslaughter In VFW Altercation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Thief River Falls man was found not guilty of manslaughter last week in the death of a man last year outside a VFW.

Court officials said Shaun Brandt was found not guilty Friday on three counts.

Brandt had been charged last year after the death of 43-year-old Bradley Friesen.

On Dec. 17, 2014, Friesen, of Blaine, was pushed outside of the Thief River Falls VFW, fell to the ground and struck his head. He suffered significant head injuries and dies five days later.

Brandt, who called 911 after the incident, was accused of pushing Friesen.
