Man Found Dead On 3M Campus ID'd

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials have identified the man whose body was found last Friday on the southwest corner of the 3M business campus.

The Maplewood Police Department said Monday that the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the deceased as 31-year-old Jeffrey Wade Lerew of North St. Paul.

While an autopsy has been completed, Lerew's manner and cause of death are still pending per toxicology reports.

Police say they are investigating why Lerew's body was found at the 3M campus, near the intersection of Hudson Road and Century Avenue.

There were no signs of struggle or trauma on his body, but police say it's possible his body had been brought there.

Investigators say Lerew might have been with "known drug users" before his death. Authorities say they are working to track down those individuals.
