They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, and emergency crews rushed him to a hospital. He was pronounced dead soon thereafter.

Investigators believe this was a targeted shooting. A 22-year-old Maplewood man and a 20-year-old Champlin woman are in the Dakota County Jail, him for possession of a gun without a permit, and her for aiding an offender. WCCO doesn't typically identify suspects before they've been formally charged.

Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to call police at 651-552-4200.
