Police: Man Steals Utility Truck, Drives Through Wall

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man is in custody after stealing a utility truck in central Minnesota and driving it through a wall, according to police.

Just before 3 p.m. Monday, police received a call saying 21-year-old Franklin William Hardy III walked into the garage of Alexandria Light & Power and stole a truck. Hardy drove the truck through a wall and struck a barrier, police said, before attempting to drive off.

State troopers stopped Hardy and he was later transported to jail.

Hardy is being held on pending charges of driving while intoxicated, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal damage to property.
