Stearns Co. Man Dies After Car Falls On Him During Oil Change
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A St. Joseph man died Monday after his car fell on top of him while he was changing the oil.
According the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, just before 2:30 p.m. officers received a call from a woman saying she found her husband pinned underneath a car in their garage, located on the 30800 block of 1st Avenue NE.
Upon arrival, officers found Gary Glein, 58, underneath a Chevrolet HHR.
Deputies said it appeared Glein had lifted the car up on a floor jack and taken off the passenger wheel to change the oil. They believe Glein was under the car when the jack slipped and caused the car to fall on his chest.
He was declared dead on the scene.
