Man Dies After Accident On Crow Wing Co. Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 21-year-old Eagan man has died after an accident involving a personal watercraft on a north central Minnesota lake Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened at about 4:35 p.m. on Rush Lake. The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office says witnesses pulled the man out of the water, brought him to shore and attempted resuscitation.

He was taken by ambulance and helicopter to an area hospital, but lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.

The victim's identity has not yet been released. The sheriff's office is investigating.
