Man Dies 6 Years After Shooting In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a man who was shot more than six years ago in Minneapolis and had been at an assisted living center died Wednesday.

Authorities said the man was shot on Nov. 9, 2007, in an incident on the 3900 block of Lyndale Avenue North in Minneapolis. He had been at the Assisted Living at Lyndale Manor since the incident, but died Wednesday morning.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the man as 50-year-old Lionel Miles of Minneapolis. The medical examiner ruled he died of complications of a remote gunshot wound. His manner of death was ruled a homicide.
