Man Charged With Murder In Connection With Missing Iowa Woman

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man was charged in connection to the death of a woman whose body was found in Ravenna Township, Minn. early this April.

Timothy McVay, 39, has been charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death by the Illinois State's Attorney's Office, according to Dakota County officials.

Carrie Elaine Olson, 29, was found around the evening of April 5 in Ravenna Township in Dakota County.

Olson, from Davenport, Iowa, was last seen alive at a gas station on Dec. 23, 2013 in Rock Island, Ill.

McVay was taken into custody and is being held at the Rock Island/Scott County Jail on $1.5 million bond.
