Man Accused In Killing, Kidnapping Arrested In Minnesota

HERMANTOWN, Minn. (AP) — Police in northern Minnesota say they've arrested an Indiana man accused of killing another man at his estranged wife's house and then forcing her and three children to flee with him.

Hermantown Police Chief Jim Crace says the 26-year-old suspect was arrested Monday in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart. Crace says the man took the young children inside with him, and the woman fled the vehicle they traveled in and called for help at a nearby car dealership.

The woman told police that the suspect killed another man Sunday at her home in Anderson, Indiana. Police say they found a man inside the home stabbed to death, and he was later identified as 25-year-old Cody Gay of Indianapolis.

Police believe the suspect was trying to flee to Canada. He was being held Tuesday in Minnesota.
