MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in southern Minnesota say a 64-year-old man died Saturday after losing control of his truck on a snow-packed road and crashing into a tree.

The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office said Kenneth Mcmahon, of rural Cleveland, was traveling east on County Road 12 when he lost control near Elysian Township.

His Ford F-150 slipped off road, entered a ditch and struck a tree.

Emergency crews extricated Mcmahon from his truck and airlifted him from the scene.

He died shortly later, the sheriff's office said.
