Man, 61, Fatally Hit By Train In Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Police are investigating the death of a man who was struck by a train in downtown Fargo.

The incident happened about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say the crossing arms were down at the time, and the BNSF Railway freight train hit its brakes and sounded a horn but couldn't stop in time.

The 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
