Man, 23, Arrested In Death Of 3-Year-Old Boy In Becker Co.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Duluth man as has been arrested in connection with the death of a 3-year-old Becker County boy.

Sterling Anderson, 23, was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of Steven Warren.

According to the Becker County Sheriff's Office, shortly after noon on Wednesday EMS was dispatched on a report of a young child with injuries in Maple Grove Township.

Upon arrival, EMS found a 3-year-old boy, later identified as Warren, had suffered head injuries. He was taken to Detroit Lakes Hospital. He was later transferred to Sanford Hospital in Fargo where he was pronounced dead.

According to the sheriff's office, an autopsy listed the cause of death as homicidal violence.

Further investigation led authorities to arrest Anderson. He is now awaiting formal charges.

Charges are being reviewed by the  Becker County Sheriff's Office.
