Man, 2 Juveniles Arrested In Rice Lake Fish House Burglaries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in northern Minnesota say a father and two boys were arrested last week for allegedly burglarizing several fish houses.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office says the burglaries were reported on Rice Lake on Friday night. When deputies responded, an ice angler told them he thought the suspects were still on the lake.

It didn't take long for deputies to find two boys and one of their fathers on the ice. Officials say the three were using a fish house that appeared to have stolen property around it.

Investigators believe the items were taken from several fish houses that had been burglarized on the lake.

The suspects were not identified.

Officials say the stolen items are being held by authorities pending owner notification.

The case remains under investigation.
