Make-A-Wish Helps St. Paul Teen Learn Pastry Cooking In France

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Make-A-Wish is making a young woman's trip to Paris even more special.

Mariah, 18, of St. Paul suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. She'll be traveling to Paris to fulfill her dream of being a Patisserie Chef.

This morning at Macy's in downtown Minneapolis she practiced with one of the company's chefs. Mariah says her love for baking comes from her family.

"I picked it up from my grandmother," she said. "It's really soothing and relaxing. "

Mariah also went on a shopping spree for culinary utensils in preparation for her big trip.
