Significant Flooding Drenches Luverne, Minn.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- More rain is the last thing many parts of Minnesota need, but flooding remains a major concern.

In southwest Minnesota, several inches of rain forced the Rock River in Luverne to completely overflow its banks. Now, fields look more like lakes.

From Sky 4 aerial footage, you can see the many flooded areas. We spotted a baseball field that won't be played on for a while.

At one farm, the flood waters completely surrounded a herd of cows.

The lake for swimming at Blue Mound State Park also washed away. Heavy rains over the weekend broke the dam and all the water rushed out.

There is some good news, however. Interstate 90 between Luverne and Adrian is open now after flooding forced its closure earlier this morning.
